<p>The purpose of this talk is to call teenagers to a personal commitment to God in Jesus Christ. However,
    this should <strong>not</strong> be an altar call. The teens should not be asked to make any sort of
    public proclamation or commitment in front of the group.</p>

<p>You are given 30 minutes for your talk.</p>

<p>Most teenagers have probably responded in some way to the good news of Jesus; it is perfectly acceptable
    and beneficial for them to renew their commitment during the weekend. It is in fact beneficial for them
    to make a renewal of sorts as the need arises or even on a regular or daily basis.</p>

<p>Some teenagers have never heard the good news of Jesus, and need to make an initial commitment to Jesus
    Christ. This talk calls young people to make a personal response to the Gospel based on the experiences
    of the previous day.</p>

<p><strong>Themes you should include in your talk:</strong></p>

<ol>
    <li>Jesus' death on the cross is the offer of eternal salvation for all people (John 3:16).</li>
    <li>Believers respond to God's offer by making a personal decision unique to their own lives and
        experience concerning Jesus as the source, guide, and motivation for their lives (Romans 10:9&ndash;10).</li>
    <li>God's love is not merely acknowledged; it must be accepted (John 1:12, Revelation 3:20) as a
        life-changing and lifestyle-changing event that is publicly visible as someone who daily reflects to
        others the reality of God in Jesus.</li>
